Trident Bar Tape

Trident is a relatively new company based in Canada that brought out there own range of bar tape. Its available in Green, Blue, Red, White and Black. Its made from a T9 Polymer and has a non-slip grip, its also washable, has a nice cushioned feel to it and has smooth overlap. Whats really nice about it is that its reversible. On one side its smooth and on the other its textured.

Textured Side

I was undecided when installing it to know which side to use, either the smooth side or the textured one. In the end I done one of each to see which I preferred. So the Left was Smooth and the Right was the textured one. Both sides worked equally as good but my personal preference was the textured side. My only reservations with the tape was keeping it clean, especially seen as I got the White one. But I must say it was very easy to clean. When it got dirty I just washed it with soapy water and it came back as good as new.

Smooth Side

The tape itself is 80.5 inches / 204.5mm long which should be loads for most setups and is 2.5mm thick. Just note, the bar tape does not come with bar end plugs, you reuse your old ones, which I suppose is good from a recycling point of view.
