Road Beach Cycling Shoes - Mannschaft Sports

You might ask who is Mannschaft Sports, there a company based in Germany and they have just released there own range of cycling kit consisting of shoes, jerseys and bib shorts. There cycling shoes are based around the theme, California Sun, hence the name road beach.

The shoes are a Limited Edition run and only 300 pairs are made. The main colour of the shoes as you can see is blue and its dotted with tiny palm trees.

The upper is made of a thin Microfiber which from what I experienced allows a good amount of ventilation and comfort. On the front of the sole there is a small mesh panel to allow extra ventilation and on the side of shoes those small black dots you see in the pictures allow for more ventilation.

The sole is made from Carbon and feels quite stiff, it has the standard 3 hole mounting pattern for your cleats (SPD-SL & Look compatible), along with lines to help with alignment.

The shoes are held in place with a 'Atop' dial, it appears somewhat similar to a BOA dial in operation, turn to open and turn to tighten and of course single handed operation. On the front of the shoe there is a single Velcro strap.

Having used these shoes on a number of spins I cant fault them, if blue is your colour or you like palm tree's then these are for you. The size I had is a EU 44, it came in at 228g per shoe, Oh, one final thing I forgot to mention, on the inside of each box is the unique number from 1 to 300, just so you know there a Limited Edition run.
